Issues or Contradictions ?

1 - Al -Fatihah - The Opener

Whoever Muhammad is displeased with has gone astray, if this is the case the life and validity of the prophet seem very important but examination of the prophet doesn't give one confidence.

The term “Allah.” Allah comes from the Aramaic compound term “al-ilah,” which means “the god.” It is a generic term for the highest god of the people, and in Arabia it was in use for centuries before Muhammad came on the scene. It was one of the 360 gods worshipped in the ka’aba in Mecca, and was the chief god for the Quraysh tribe, which was the tribe Muhammad belonged to. In the pre-Islamic time, Allah had three daughters, Al-At, Al-Uzza, and Al-Manat.

2 - Al-Baqarah - The Cow

The Quranic account of Adam, Abraham, Jesus the prophets and others are quite different than the Torah and Gospel record yet if one is to follow the Quran they are required to "make no distinction" thus contradicting the teaching of the Quran.

3 Ali-Imran - Family of Imran

The Quran confirms that Jesus and his followers will be elevated yet there are no "muslim" followers of Jesus recorded  for 600 years before the arrival of the prophet Muhammad,  then how were the followers of the proper Islamic Jesus elevated.

If the Quran confirms yet condradicts the Torah and Gospel, this is a problem.  Example this surah has Mary the mother of Jesus and Miram the sister of Moses the same person.

4 - An-Nasa - The Women

The crucifixion account acually confirms that the eyewitnesses to the crucifixion were acurate (wrote what they saw) but that Allah himself decieved for 6 centuries until Muhammad, and if you believe the Scripture that was sent before this contradicts the Quran, Does Allah really command  husbands to beat their wives?

5 - Al-Ma'idah - The Table Spread

Muhammad (and Allah) incorrectly think the Christian trinity is Allah, Mary, and Jesus.  The Christian trinity is the Father,  Son and Holy Spirit (not Mary).  The Quran rejects Christian doctrine that isn't Christians doctrine, does Allah really command torture for those spread mischief?

6 - Al-An'am - The Cattle

Keep in mind when Muhammad was giving his revelations in Mecca he was appealing that he would be accepted by the Jews and Christians as a prophet confirmed in their sources, when he is rejected by them as a false prophet he then resorts to violently subjugation.

Issues or Contradictions ?

7 - Al -Fatihah - The Opener

The Quran continually confirms the Torah and the Gospel yet contradicts and conflates  the facts within the biblical accounts and asserts that Muhammad is predicted within the Bible with no substantiation when challenged to prove that Muhammad is indeed from Allah his evidence is the Quran itself (not miracles), this doesn't work, its like proving that a circle is round by counting the corners.

8 - Al-Baqarah - The Cow

Muhammad commands his followers to strike disbelievers fleeing in battle is an unforgivable sin, it is interesting  for 1400 years up to present how Islamic conquerers and terrorist strike the neck of their victims.

9 - Ali-Imran - Family of Imran

Just to be clear the Jews don't claim Ezra is the son of Allah, the commands for Muslims to fight unbelievers have caused 14 centuries of death and destruction including 47,000 + jihad murders since 9/11, this is the second to last revelation given which abrigates earlier "peaceful" passages.

10 - An-Nasa - The Women

The Quran appeals to the people of the Book to confirm the message of Muhammad yet the Quran also charges that they are the mischief makers who are not to be trusted, this doesn't make sense.

11 - Al-Ma'idah - The Table Spread

When Muhammad is repeatedly accused of forging his revelation his reoccuring defense is to assert that all who don't believe him will be tormented eternally in hell fire and then confirm this by asserting this is what happened to all others who disbelieved previous prophets of Allah, (with differeing accounts of biblical stories).  I don't find this to be a very compelling argument.

12 - Al-An'am - The Cattle

The Quran repeatedly confirms the Torah and the Gospel yet contradicts and conflates the facts within the biblical accounts, the Islamic dilemna is if the Quran confirms the Torah and Injeel yet contradicts the coremessage and teachings in the Torah and Injeel. then the Quran is not to be trusted.

Issues or Contradictions ?

13 - Ar-Ra'd - The Thunder

Muhammad records in the Quran that he is repeatedly challenged to give a sign (supernatural act) as proof that he was a prophet sent from God, Muhammad recounts that prophets of the past gave signs to prove they were sent from God, Muhammad points to the Quran itself as a greater proof of authenticity than miracles, this argument is like saying my proof is the document, I find this argument a bit circular, and I don't find this to be compelling.

14 - Ibrahim - Abraham

Muhammad sited previous prophets and the signs they had preformed as clear proofs that they were indeed sent by Allah, but when they people of his time asked that he preform a sign for his proof, Muhammad would accuse them of being like the disbelievers in the times past who saw the signs and didn't believe, even though he himself never sited a sign, only that the Quran itself is the proof.

15 - Al-Hijr - The Rocky Tract

In Islam the angels (except for Satan) all bowed down (in submission) to man after he was created by Allah. Allah expels Satan from paradise for not bowing down to man, then Satan requests he be allowed to decieve mankind (except Muslims) until the resurrection he accuses Allah of decieved him.   This is a different understanding of the fall than the Christian perspective.

16 - An-Nahl - The Bee

The concept of abrogation is explained here that when Muhammad gets a revelation that contradicts previous revelations than the one that comes later has the authority.  I guess the simple question I have is why would Allah want to send down revelation and then change this if as stated over and over in the Quran this truly is the eternal word of Allah, the problem verse recorded simply states the good provision of drinks from fruit and yet later was abrogated to prohibit alcohol.... or put another way ..seriously?

17 - Al-Isra - The Night Journey

Muhammad records in the Quran that he is repeatedly challenged to give a sign (supernatural act) as proof that he was a prophet sent from God, Muhammad recounts that prophets of the past gave signs to prove they were sent from God, Muhammad points to the Quran itself as a greater proof of authenticity than miracles, this argument is like saying my proof is the document, I find this argument a bit circular, and I don't find this to be compelling.

18 - Al-Kahf - The Cave

Muhammad records in the Quran that he is repeatedly challenged to give a sign (supernatural act) as proof that he was a prophet sent from God, Muhammad recounts that prophets of the past gave signs to prove they were sent from God, Muhammad points to the Quran itself as a greater proof of authenticity than miracles, this argument is like saying my proof is the document, I find this argument a bit circular, and I don't find this to be compelling.

Issues or Contradictions ?

109 - Al-Kafirun - The Disbelievers

The core of Christianity is God taking on flesh to reach out to lovingly pursuade and redeem a fallen mankind, this is not the case with Muhammad and Islam.

110 - An-Nasr - The Divine Support

Are we to reason through the documents and evidence to come to our faith or are we to follow the crowd and believe because of the numbers?

111 - Al-Masad - The Palm Fiber

It seems rather odd yet convienient that Muhammad recieves revelations from Allah to specifically speak against his family enemies (Muhammad's half paternal uncle who rejected Muhammad's claims because he couldn't trust him, "Muhammad promises me things which I do not see".

112 - Al-Ikhlas - The Sincerity

1 John 4:7,8 says  for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love

113- Al-Falaq - The Daybreak

Allah seems to be both  the creator of and the refuge from the evil, this seems hard to discern. Example: the crucifixion account confirms that the eyewitnesses to the crucifixion were acurate (saw Jesus crucified) but that Allah himself deceived until Muhammad set the record straight.

114- An-Nas - Mankind

How does the prophet validate that he is not being whispered evil with his revelations?
